MONEY
MAYFIELD
Shad Mayfield caught the attention of the rodeo world early on as he became the National High School Finals Champion and competed at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in the same weekend at the age of 19. That same year he went on to compete at his first Wrangler National Finals Rodeo under the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Shad earned the nickname "Money Mayfield" in 2020 as he dominated every major rodeo that the season offered. He won The American, San Antonio, Houston, and several others to put him $89,500 ahead of his competitors heading into the 2020 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Arlington, Texas.
He then became the 2020 Champion of the World in tie down roping.
In 2021, Shad had another great year that ended with his third consecutive trip to the WNFR at only 21-years-old.
In 2022, he finished second in the world, earning a career-high $269,936.
